(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
Combat Inspired, Soldier Designed Sight Mount equips the M2HB .50 Caliber Machine Gun for modern sights, lasers and illumination devices.
Shelton, Wash. - The Advanced Tactical Sighting Systems (ATSS™) Division of Eagle View Research Center, LLC has returned from Niland CA. where they demonstrated three new products to the M2HB Special Forces Commercial Review Panel assembled by the Navy Surface Warfare Center from Crane, IN.
During these demonstrations ATSS was able to show the ATSS MKIII standard sight and laser mount for the M2HB. They also introduced the new ATSS-M2HB MKIV Extended Mount which adds 12” of length and three more rails for mounting Illumination and Lasers forward of ballistic shields. The all steel mounts allow the simultaneous use of top-mounted holographic sights, side-mounted aiming lasers, visible and IR illuminators, and other accessories without interfering with the existing iron sights.
The last product demonstrated was the new light mount for Peak Beam, Inc. MaxaBeam Spotlight. This time proven product has been used many ways by all DOD branches but now can be mounted on any weapon that has the standard Mil-Spec-1913 rail system. On the ATSS mounts the Peak Beam Mount (PBM) was attached to the low center rail on the ATSS MKIV mount for a nighttime test session.
Mounting forward of the receiver, the ATSS mounts provides multiple M1913 rail locations for the equipping of up to ten individual devices on the gun without interfering with existing ballistic shields. A fixed top rail and modular side rails encourage complete field customization of the sighting system for specific applications.
Soldier safety is enhanced by moving the mount and attached devices forward and away from where they can contact the gunner in the limited area of vehicle ring mounts, encouraging gunners to stay low in the vehicle, reducing risk from projectiles and debris.
